San Anselmo's economy has always relied heavily on out of town shoppers. For the most part our downtown business structure has been based upon attracting tourists to our town. I want to recast San Anselmo as a model of long term economic and environmental sustainability. We need to work with our local business community to attract new businesses that fill more of the needs of our town's residents. This will encourage more people to spend more money in our own community and reduce the use of motor vehicles. |
