Ballot Statement

By Greg Brockbank

Candidate for Board Member; Marin Community College District

This information is provided by the candidate
The 200-word ballot statment, also known as the Statement of Qualifications, is printed in the Voter Pamphlet, and below:
I am honored to serve on the College Board, and I hope, with your vote, to continue. I also welcome this opportunity to report on the College's progress.

Together with our excellent new President we hired, the Board of Trustees has recently completed Phase One of an Educational Master Plan, and Master Plans for Technology, Facilities, and Marketing. Most importantly, Marin's voters approved a facilities bond measure last fall that we placed on the ballot after considerable work, which will allow us, over the next few years, to make crucial repairs, rehabilitate buildings that badly need it, and replace old buildings with new ones that are needed for a 21st Century community college education. Trustees play many roles, including serving as community ambassadors for the college. To that end, I continue to be extremely active in numerous civic organizations, and as the Board's legislative representative, as well as a frequent Board officer (currently Vice President). I will continue to work hard for fiscal stability and to provide the best possible community college education, in keeping with our long and proud tradition. I believe my years of experience are needed now more than ever to provide positive, effective management. Thank you.
