My name is Robert Serrano and I am the CEO of API Security Service Inc

I am running for Los Angeles Council District 10 to make my community safer with Security and Safety in mind and to work to solve the chronic problems that have been allowed to fester by years of neglect.

The people of Council District 10 deserve a leader from this community that is committed to solving these problems and not just running for this office as a placeholder. I am also committed to the following:

"X A freeze on all gasoline taxes in the city and a investigation of price discrepancy "X Incentives for solar panels to reduce the demand for gas & oil and hydro Vehicles "X The creation of a Monorail along, Wilshire Blvd from Downtown to the Beach "X Create affordable housing for both the poor, and our seniors and first time home buyers "X Create safe, drivable and walk able streets for the blind and handicap people of our district so they can walk on.

Our district needs someone who will roll up his sleeves and is Tough Enough To Lead.

As a US MARINE, I DID THAT and served my country with honor and esprita corps, which means (always faithful).

As CEO of a business in District 10, I know what its like to have to make a payroll and provide jobs for others. I am the only candidate in this race who runs a local business and keeps a profit and loss statement.

One of my opponents went into office with a 12 billion dollar deficit and came out with a 40 billion dollar deficit. Research the internet for correct information, and then my opponent raised the cigarette tax by 50 cents and then he wanted to raise the license plate vehicle tax. He also went to all the local City Councils to ask to raise more taxes; He caused the Governor his job, because of his spending leadership and no understanding of a budget. While in Office, he purchased Vehicles that were not needed and paid to special consultants over $ 350,000.00 of your money is this a leader that can not be trusted or someone who likes spending your money. If he can do that at a state level can, you imagine at a local level what spending he going to do and when, what taxes does he raise now, possibly "³ Phone taxes "³ Gas taxes "³ DWP "³ Harbor Taxes "³ Airport Taxes "³ Senior housing "³ Parking Fee¡¦s "³ Taxi Fee¡¦s "³ Food and Restaurant taxs

As your councilmember, I promise you the following:

"X I will not create a deficit like one of my Opponents "X I will not raise your taxes because of budgets that are not balanced "X I will serve my full term and stand for re-election "X I will draft a ordnance when elected that any elected member of the city must serve his or her term before seeking another elected office. "X I will recommend more Fire Inspectors and build 4 more Fire Houses and help create the reduction of Fire Truck Response to Medical and None 911 Emergencies "X I will recommend Fire Sprinklers in every Building and Home Residence with local tax incentives "X I will ask that an AED¡¦S be at all work places and every City Vehicle "X I will ask that False Alarms be reduced thru better installations and verification thru CCTV and or Audio , I will ask for Verification of Contractors License to install and Service Security Systems thru mandatory permits And Verification of ACO and AQM License¡¦s "X I will ask for 5 more libraries in our district to stop gang violence "X I will ask for Gang intervention Programs at Churches and Community Centers and Unions into Helping Our Youths stay out of trouble thru adopt a child and to succeed into College thru Grants and incentives and programs in job training and basic life traits. "X I will create more parks and recreation centers "X I will create a Commission on Korean ,Hispanic, & African and other Minority Issues in the District To stop racial differences and division

I am glad to have this opportunity to serve this great city of ours and if elected I have great new ideas that will help the poor, middle class, and rich. I have been working in Los Angeles for over 23 years and have coached basketball for over 17 years. As a Union Member for the CWA, I served as a Steward and retired from ADT Security after 19 years as an Engineer.
