We need to shoot for the stars and complete our goals. Accountability and Persistance can do the job!The students are our business! We need to assure they continue improving their API scores and strive to pass the AYP (annual yearly progress)goals. No Child Left Behind creates huge mandates! Presently 75% of our teachers are Highly Qualified! We must increase that percentage yearly. Our Intervention Programs for underachieving students must be closely monitered for constant improvement. Only then will our students continue to succeed academically. Lawndale High School and the Adult School need a cafeteria for the students to eat their meals in. I see that as a future goal for trustees. I want to see the Performing Arts Center finished in a timely manner. The older classrooms at our older schools need to be checked for improvements and given immediate attention to whatever needs are required. There is still work to do and I want to be part of doing it for our kids and our teachers! |
