Political Philosophy for Marta "Williamson-Cox" Kester
Candidate for |
The Constitution states Government is to "promote the general welfare." I believe that means all of the population not just those with the largest bank balances. This means there must be a balance between older and newer neighborhoods. This should not be determined by which neighborhood has the largest tax bill. Everyone deserves clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, safe work and play environments and excellent education. It also means the people living in an area should have a greater voice in how the neighborhood, in which they live, is developed. I am an advocate for these goals and have worked to empower all the residents of Palmdale the last five years as President of OldTown Homeowners Group, Inc. |
