Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 7

I was Terry Gregory's opponent in the last District 7 City Council election. Despite my best efforts to campaign with honesty and integrity, my opponents were able to portray me negatively through deceit and slight of hand. While my desire to serve District 7 has not waned, as a workingman without wealth, the previous campaign was a severe financial burden for me. That is why I initially decided not to run for the seat Mr. Gregory vacated.

I was deluged with requests from many community leaders and district residents to reconsider and agree to be drafted as a candidate. Because of these many requests, and because of my continuing strong desire to serve this community, I consented to place my name before the voters again. If elected, I will represent you with honesty and integrity.

Many of our residents are tired of being bombarded by certain outside groups on behalf of candidates aligned with their special interest. My commitment is that the only interest I will align with is that of the people of District 7. I will not seek or accept endorsement of any political organization or special interest group. I will be honored to have your vote.
