Shall Article X, Sections 1 and 6, Article XI, Sections 6, 7, 14, 17, 20, 21 and 22, and Article XXII, Section 1 of the Charter of the City of Glendale be amended to change the obsolete title of the department of public service to the department of Glendale Water and Power and renumber the sections and change titles accordingly?

Impartial Analysis from City Attorney Scott H. Howard
The present Charter refers to the department of Glendale Water and Power as the public service department. The proposed amendment will reflect current practice and officially change the title of public service department to department of Glendale Water and Power.

Arguments For Measure CharterAmendment-10
The amendment proposes to modernize the Charter and match current practice by referring to the public service department by its current title, which is department of Glendale Water and Power, thereby removing any ambiguity and making it easier for citizens to identify the department which provides water and power services.
