A few reasons to vote for Al Leiga are summarized.
· Just having "New Blood" on the council isn't going to make it any more effective. We need a problem solver and leader. We need Al Leiga to bring civility to the council and get things done.

· Al Leiga isn't going to waste four years learning the job. He was very successful as a Councilmember and will put his knowledge and experience to work solving problems immediately.

· Al Leiga is a proven leader who manages tough issues with vision and a plan for Claremont's future while respecting our historical roots. He has successfully contributed to shaping and guiding Claremont's growth, parks and wilderness areas.

· Al Leiga will make sure city government responds promptly to your concerns and city actions are visible to all. He will ensure you are treated with dignity and understanding of your concerns and needs.

· All of us are paying too much for water. Al Leiga will take control of the situation and focus on bringing our rates down so they are in line with adjacent cities.

· Al Leiga will creatively broaden and strengthen the city's partnership with our schools.

· Al Leiga will expand after school activities for our kids and support youth sports needs. He will continue to improve our senior and family programs.

· Al Leiga is committed to taking action on well thought out affordable housing opportunities that distribute the need throughout the community rather than creating enclaves.

· Al Leiga has built in relationships that will enable him to improve local and regional transportation opportunities.
