Jim Aldinger has demonstrated proven leadership to Public Safety for citizens of Manhattan Beach. His role on the Finance Sub-Committee helped to raise funds for the new facility, and his commitment to and progress with the new Public Safety Facility proves Jim's first priority to public safety for our residents. Jim's contributions will make a difference for the people of Manhattan Beach and their safety for years to come.

• Worked to provide Manhattan Beach with the best Police and Fire personnel available.

• Broke ground on new, fully equipped $40M Public Safety Facility with 180 public parking spaces. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2005, and Jim is committed to bringing the project in on budget.

• Public Safety Facility was financed with $25M in cash, funds that were accrued by Jim's careful planning as part of his role on the City's Finance Sub-Committee.

• Continue to monitor development of the Public Safety Facility, with the goal of completing it on time and on budget.

• Recruit and retain quality Police officers and Fire personnel.
