Pismo Beach City Council Member Bill Rabenaldt has lived in Pismo Beach since 1991 and on the Central Coast since 1986. A United States Navy veteran, Bill is a local businessman and retired educator.

Prior to coming to Pismo Beach, Bill was the principal of vocational training schools in San Bernardino, Anaheim, Simi Valley and Oxnard. His experience in this field has given him a unique insight into the educational needs of young people, especially those who are not college bound. Since 1993, Bill has owned Beach Cycle Rentals in Pismo Beach. He also served as Associate Editor of Strictly Business Magazine from 1990 to 1993.

Appointed to the Pismo Beach City Council in 1997, Bill served through 1998. He was elected to the Council in his own right in 2000. A past president of the Pismo Beach Business Improvement Group, Bill is a member of the Zone 3 Advisory Board, the San Luis Obispo County Economic Opportunities Commission, the San Luis Obispo County Economic Vitality Corporation, the Pismo Beach Police Department's Youth Offender Program, and is a member of the Pismo Beach, Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo Chambers of Commerce. Once honored as Pismo Beach Citizen of the Year, Bill Rabenaldt is also the host of two highly regarded weekly public affairs programs. "High Profile" airs on Public Access Cable Television Channel 2 at 9pm on Tuesdays and 11am on Saturdays. Our Government Access Cable Television Channel 21 features "High Profile" at 7am on Tuesdays and 10am on Sunday

Bill Rabenaldt believes strongly that local government must work for the benefit of all members of the community, not narrow special interests. The future of the City of Pismo Beach depends on a healthy economy that produces jobs for our people, good schools that educate our youth, sound transportation systems, reasonably-priced housing and a commitment to protecting our precious environment through education and community involvement.
