Candidate for
Councilmember; City of Grover Beach

Rather than reiterate what is already in my candidate's statement, I still feel the single most important issue as a Council Member is to insure that the course charted by the City Council truly reflects the desire of the community.

I have worked hard to provide for a safer, more beautiful Grover Beach that offers unique recreational opportunities. After noticing a national trend that threatened the reliable delivery of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, I worked diligently to be part of a solution to guarantee this essential service by providing Grover Beach with full-time personnel. I believe that my commitment has yielded projects such as the beach boardwalk, downtown Grand Avenue and Oak Park Boulevard expansion.

Doug Hamp, a retired Fire Chief with over 36 years of government service recently sent this letter to me:

My basic philosophy is this...I am a working parent raising two young children, trying to make ends meet, planning for our kid's education, and being a positive role model for them...I am driven to make things better for my family as well as the entire community of Grover Beach.
