California's economic downturn has brought hard times on our public schools. Ken Wagman has a passion for the dream of public education and the creativity and commitment to help us weather this challenge. He knows and loves our schools. And he understands process and budgets, which is so important in these difficult times. Ken will bring the courage and vision our schools need now.

As a member of the Santa Cruz City school board, Ken will

  • Operate with integrity
  • Involve our diverse community in important decisions
  • Support the interests of all of the students in the district
  • Work to maintain arts and music programs for K-12 students
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and community members
  • Promote long-range planning
