Political Philosophy for Anastacio Andrade
Candidate for |

|
I am a parent, a farmworker, and long time resident of the Pajaro Valley. My wife and I settled in Watsonville in 1985 and raised a beautiful family based on love and respect for each other. My children attended PVUSD schools. To support them, I have been active in the Migrant Parent Association serving as a local officer and a state representative. We are grateful to the Pajaro Valley community because we have been treated with kindness and respect. I believe we need to raise the academic achievement of all students in our school district. We need to maintain our district united, elect school board trustees who reflect the diversity of our community, offer consistent and cohesive educational programs throughout the district, empower parents to support teachers, create incentive programs to attract and keep talented educators, and communicate with and involve parents and our community in the decision making process. I want to continue my work as a community liaison who promotes accountability and trust so that our educational professionals receive the support and resources to do their job in a positive, productive environment to ensure the success of our children. I represent diversity, unity, and respect. |
