Shall the ordinance proposing to amend Chapter 32 of the City Code be approved, thereby imposing a half cent transaction and use tax on tangible personal property either purchased or consumed within the City of Salinas, which shall be reduced to a quarter-cent five years after its effective date and shall terminate in its entirety fifteen years after its effective date?

The tax may be overturned any time by subsequent referendum vote and may not be imposed after January 1, 2011.
