Candidate for
Board Member; Fremont Unified School District

I have a passion for Education that has lead me to this point in life. After spending the last 5 years addressing the FUSD Board of Educaion on a variety of topics and issues, and the last 10 years serving on distirct and site committees, I am ready to step into a Board Position and help mold the future of our students.

I bring a unique perspective to the district, having lived in Fremont most of my life, and being a graduate of the Fremont Unified School District. I went on to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Mananagement Information Systems that will bring knowledge of technology implementation processes to the district and the Board.

Not only did I choose Fremont as a place to raise my family, ensuring them a great education, I also chose to get involved and stay involved. My pasasion for the students and Education grew with each year, and the more I leared about the district the more I became aware of its strenghts and weaknesses. Not every parent and community member has the time and energy to commit to attending 98% of all Shool Board Meetings, serve on school and district committees, read all the board packets, speak to community members and ask the tough questions of the board and district staff. And not every parent should have to do all that to gain knowledge of the district workings.

My focus is in the clasasroom first, where learning takes place, with an eye on the budget and a commitment to all stakeholders being brought to the table for important decisions. My passion for education shows in all the tasks I take on .
