Victor Elizalde is an economist with 13 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Holding key managerial posts in operations and finance at The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures Entertainment and Technicolor, Victor understands the importance of economics and its impact on communities. Victor believes "it is vital to continue the recall of career politicians and put the right people in office to represent community interests, revitalize businesses and expand economic growth." Elizalde has a background as a business leader and job creator in Southern California. His track record dates back to 1992 when he helped to keep thousands of jobs in the Los Angeles basin while working with business owners and legislators on training programs to put more people to work (The Daily News 10/2/92). Victor has demonstrated his commitment to social issues and community programs as seen through his involvement with organizations such as The Midnight Mission and The Legal Aid Foundation. He also upholds memberships with the Human Rights Campaign, California Republican League and the Los Angeles Police Foundation. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Victor Elizalde holds a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Denver. A long-time resident in the Los Angeles area, Victor lives in the 30th district with his wife, Jean-Marie. |
