I have served on the Democratic Central Committee since 1992. Last election, I received the most votes in the 5th Assembly district which was 12,500 votes. I think the voters and my colleagues on the Central Committee know that I am one of the most hard working and reliable members currently serving on the Committee. I am currently a member of the Town and Country Democratic Club and also serve on the 5th Assembly District Committee. I am also a dues paying member of the California State Employees Association, Association of California State Supervisors. Even though I am a supervisor, I consistently vote with my organized labor colleagues on the Central Committee. I usually work for local candidates that run for County Supervisor, City Council, SMUD Board and the various school boards in Sacramento County. In 2000, I assisted the Chair of our Campaign Services Committee. Our volunteers phoned 350 precincts. We carried Sacramento County for Gore/Lieberman, and helped ensure victory for Mayor Heather Fargo. Other concerns of mine are labor issues, women's issues and civil rights. I will be very active in the 2004 coordinated campaign and will support whomever our nominee is for President. It is also crucial that Senator Boxer be reelected by a huge margin here in California. In my 12 years of service to the Central Committee, I have only missed 3 meetings. The Democrats of the 5th Assembly District can count me if I am relected. Thanks for your consideration and I hope I can count on your vote!!
