1. How would you implement your top priority?
Improving Student Achievement is the top priority for the Princeton District in 2004. By pinpointing problem areas where additonal instruction is needed, we have been able to improve test scores across the distric. We have put a standardized curriculum in place across the district. In addition, the new elementary facilities will improve the learning environment in the buildings.
2. How can the School Board work with local government and the community on use of school facilities for after school programs and recreations?
There is a trend across the nation to build facilities for year round community use. Working with local government officials, school boards can address community needs for after school and recreational programs. In 2004, we will be designing 8 new or renovated elementary facitlites with input from each community. This is the perfect time to address additional community needs for each facility.
