50% reduction in workers comp, new revenues, no more additional taxationGary R Huspek for City Councilman Ward 3
Issues and Answers Riverside has reached a turning point of prosperity and profitability we can become the benchmark that all other cities will follow. Words like "lack of funding" `Cut backs" and all the other financial woes we here about will slowly disappear. In order to be a profitable enterprise it will require TEAM WORK from the very top to the very bottom. This project is a 100% buy in or it will not be successful, only after this is accomplished will we see the results of our labor. All issues appear to have an common denominator and that is funding in one way or another. Resolving issues and concerns can be expedited on minimal time frames. Businesses will no longer consider City Hall as the enemy but as a friend and ally. As we become more business friendly companies will begin to expand unemployment will fall. Life in Riverside can be very good for everyone concerned Seniors, babybombers, and are youth will enjoy the best the world has to offer. All we need is a City Hall that can change to a profitable enterprise and forget the old mindset of raising taxes or fees for city services for additional revenues. It will be up to you the voters to make these changes we can stay on our present path or we can become a leadership of innovation.
Over sight commission on accountability I would like to see a commission or committee put in place to measure the ability of the Mayor and Council to fulfill their campaign promises. At the end of each quarter, the commission would evaluate the performance of those elected. This evaluation would be given to the local media for publication. The commission would consist of 8 residents that live in the wards and be teamed up with 8 others from organizations such as the L.W.V, NAACP, WE THE PEOPLE, SENIORS, and youth group's. The 16 individuals would have to be selected by a group of their peers with no ties to city hall. In addition, city hall would not have any participation in the selection process this panel would consist of citizens of their appropriate wards. There goal is to persist that those who represent them are accountable for their actions of lack of. To contact me by e-mail please put Candidate in subject line THANK YOU |
