End the rift with the City Council and let's solve school traffic problems togetherBy Paul DiffleyCandidate for Member Governing Board; Murrieta Valley Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Lack of coordination with city planners, police and Riverside Transit Authority causes school traffic chaos. The City of Murrieta just started planning for on/off ramps on the 215 freeway and a signal this April. Yet the Board of Education long ago appointed one of it's members as the coordinator between the Board and the City Council. Why didn't this Trustee do his job and alert the City a year ago to the needs of the school district? Why must the 12-year rift with the City Council continue to hurt our kids and our schools? I will insist that the Board of Education sit down with the the City Planning Department, the police and fire departments and the Riverside Transit Authority and work together to solve the school traffic chaos. I will ask the same powers to sit down and work out potential problems with the other schools that have yet to be built. |
