Biographical Highlights
  • Occupation: Teacher
  • As a former Lawndale teacher, I have a deep and detailed knowledge about what works well in our schools.
  • During my five years here, I have gained a reputation not only for being resourceful and innovative, but also very practical.
  • I know that what works well for one student may not work well for another and that one size does not fit all.
  • Over the years, I have taken the time to learn about outstanding practices in education from around the world and across our country.
  • I understand that the best teaching opportunitities grow out of the relationships created between children, familes, teachers, and schools.
  • Having an already established network of communication within the district makes me the best informed candidate.
Top Priorities if Elected
  • I would like to increase the use of volunteers, especially grandparents, in our schools. With ongoing training, they could help our teachers do more.
  • I would like to try to find additional areas of shared interest where our school district and the City of Lawndale can work together.
  • One such opportunity might be the creation of two community arts centers after the construction of the second middle school is complete.
Key Endorsements
  • Lawndale Teachers Association
