Jennette B. Bradley is Governor Taft's choice as his Lt. Governor running mate. Currently serving her third four-year term after being re-elected to Columbus City Council in November 1999, Councilwoman Bradley was first elected to City Council in November 1991 and was re-elected for a second term in 1995.

During her three terms, Councilwoman Bradley has chaired the Parks and Recreation, the Utilities and Energy Generation and the Safety Committees of City Council. She is currently the Chair of the Utilities Committee. In addition, she serves on the Safety and Judiciary, the Administration, the Recreation and Parks, the Health, Housing and Human Services and the Zoning Committees of City Council. Councilwoman Bradley is serving her fifth year on the National League of Cities' Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations (F.A.I.R.) Steering and Policy committees. She has also served as a board member and former Chair of the Joint Columbus and Franklin County Housing Advisory Board. Councilwoman Bradley's primary focus is to promote citizen participation, economic development and responsive government to improve the quality of life throughout Columbus.

As Chair of the Utilities Committee, Jennette Bradley has focused on increasing citizen participation and improving communications regarding utility projects affecting neighborhoods. Previously, she also chaired the Utilities Committee for three years prior to 1997. During that time, her initiatives focused on working with the Public Utilities Department to support a street lighting plan that would light the entire city by the year 2020. She developed a "lights against crime" prioritization policy that gave street lighting priority to neighborhoods with higher crime rates. Also, under her guidance, a process to fund and prioritize storm water projects to address neighborhood flooding concerns was initiated.

While serving as the former Chair of the Safety Committee, Councilwoman Jennette Bradley focused on ways to increase community involvement in safety. She initiated a pilot project, CPR # Community Police Relations, designed to encourage collaborations between citizens of Columbus and the Columbus Division of Police to solve safety concerns together. Additionally, she secured funding in the budget to secure additional fire classes in 1998 and 1999 and lifesaving thermal imaging cameras in 2000 to enhance rescue services for Columbus citizens. She was instrumental in establishing funds in the budget to address land acquisition needs to build additional fire stations and police facilities to keep pace with growth in Columbus.

In addition to City Council duties, Jennette Bradley is a Senior Vice President, Public Funds Manager for the Huntington National Bank. Before joining the Huntington National Bank, Jennette Bradley was with Kemper Securities as a Senior Vice President Public Finance Banker. Prior to entering the banking field, Jennette Bradley served as Executive Director of the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority. The Authority Board of Commissions named a family housing community in her honor, Riverside-Bradley. Jennette Bradley serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Wittenberg University. Her past affiliations include serving on many community and service boards.

Councilwoman Bradley is a recipient of the YWCA Woman of Achievement Award. She is a graduate of East High School and was inducted into the Columbus Public Schools Hall of Fame in March 2000.

Councilwoman Jennette B. Bradley received her B.A. from Wittenberg University. She is a National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Licensed Registered Representative. She is also a graduate of Leadership Columbus. Jennette Bradley is married to Michael C. Taylor and they reside in Columbus.
