Candidate Statement

By Sam Salmon

Candidate for Member, Town Council; Town of Windsor

This information is provided by the candidate
My qualifications as presented in the Voter's Pamphlet
Windsor is a great town. It's an honor to serve twice as Mayor. I champion our General Plan's vision for Windsor: A growing and vibrant family oriented place with small town character. In my eight years of service, you have seen the commitment to balance the older westside and newer eastside become a reality. Our Downtown with its Town Green is a jewel. Windsor High School was the product of complete cooperation between the School District, Town, voters and taxpayers of Windsor. We prioritized children, especially those at risk, and added new parks and fields for baseball, soccer, and skating. The town is at the forefront of energy conservation and waste water re-use. We continue to plan for the future.

Windsor is also the most financially secure city in Sonoma County. Competitive bidding garbage service brought us the lowest rates. Our police contract resulted in exceptional service at a low cost. I have stood to control growth, stop urban sprawl and preserve open space. I value Windsor's past. I am excited with its future. I am running on a record of achievements. I will not be re-elected without your support.

Your Mayor, Sam Salmon
