Education and Qualifications: During my four years on the Governing Board much have been achieved; one school has won the Governors award for most improved school and both our teachers and students are winning other awards. We now offer pre-school education and have built a community health care clinic. The District has also earned significant grants to improve our children's learning.

As Board President my leadership was tested in the search for a great new superintendent. This was a dynamic process involving the Board, staff and the community. We succeeded!

I worked hard to bring summer activities to the south coast. I started the Major League Soccer Camp by writing the first two grants. Many of you may remember me as the person helping with computer and internet problems when I provided free assistance to southcoast.net customers.

For the 13 years I have lived on the south coast I have proudly given my time as a Volunteer County Firefighter. I currently work at the Probation Department where I supervise juveniles.

I have a solid and positive record of giving to the entire south coast community and to its children. I would like to continue to serve our community for another four years.
