Education and Qualifications:

I have been an independent voice on the council for over ten years, working hard to benefit Pacifica. Serving more than four years on the Hillside Preservation Board in the early 70's, I demonstrated my concern and caring in preserving the hillsides of Pacifica. I was instrumental in moving the stream in the quarry site so that it could be maintained and preserve wildlife. I am a property rights advocate who has proven I care about the environment. I figured out a land swap so that Sanchez School Site could be retained for public use at no cost to taxpayers. Both arts and sports share this property. I served more than three years on the Planning Commission. I am involved with Senior Citizens rights. I came up with and pushed forward the idea, which enabled the City of Pacifica to save the Ocean View Senior Citizens homes from property owners who wanted to displace them. I was one of the founders of your local TV station, bringing open government meetings into your home. These are just some examples of my work for our community.

I have been involved with crime prevention for more than 30 years, and realize the need to keep our Police, Fire and infrastructure intact.

I have worked hard to solve problems. I have interacted on your behalf with other cities and agencies to help acquire grants and other benefits for our city.

We must balance our concern for the environment along with private property rights. We must solve economic issues facing our city. I am a fiscal conservative with a balance for the environment and property rights. I feel I have the experience, ability and integrity and most of all, I listen. I have shown that I CARE ABOUT PACIFICA AND IT'S FUTURE. I CARE ABOUT YOU.
