As an active advocate, I am committed to responsible spending of taxpayers' hard earned dollars.

My parents immigrated to America to ensure that the education denied to them would be afforded to me. I am most appreciative of the sacrifice they made and to the educational institutions I have attended. Because of my personal experiences, I have a strong commitment to provide for those who now seek to study, to learn, and to update their skills.

Cuesta College offers such an avenue for each individual. However, the Governor's budget reduces funding for programs which directly effect our students. To continue to provide access for all of our students is going to be the major challenge facing the Board of Trustees.

As the only professional educator on the Board, my experience includes the following:

Cuesta College Coordinator of Special Services for Displaced Homemakers

This experience acquaints me with the problems and possible solutions facing Cuesta College.
