Election plan

By Michelle Mercer

Candidate for Board Member; Jefferson School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I ran for the school board two years ago. Since that time I have learned more about our district.
I have planned on running for the Jefferson School board since the last election 2 years ago.

I have been involved with the schools and have spent the last 3 years attending board meetings, working in the schools, and learning all I can about the needs of our students.

One of my goals is to make no decision that I would have to apologize for in the future. I ran my campaign last time with the single goal of not doing or saying anything that I would regret later. I won't make any statements or promises that I will not be able to keep.

I plan on spending time in each school to gain a better perspective on what our staff, teachers, parents, and students need. I want to be a visible part of our children's education.
