Jim Logsdon Ph.D. I am a product of public schools both as a student and employee. I have been a teacher, high school principal, grant writer, director of categorical programs, director of a federal youth program and the superintendent of three school districts throughout the state. I have attended almost every board meeting of the Santa Cruz City Schools over the last eight years. I was a full time volunteer in helping to pass Measures E & H, school renovations currently underway. I am a charter member of the Bond Oversight Committee supervising the renovations. Most recently, I was a member of the campaign committee for Measures C & D, the parcel tax to save our libraries, performing arts and counseling programs. I'm also a long time member of the City Schools' Parent Bilingual Education Committee. I frequently provide reports and statistical analysis to the board for their consideration and I am a frequent letter to the editor contributor to the Sentinel on educational topics. I am fully engaged in the affairs of the Santa Cruz City Schools. I strive to help support and spur on our schools towards educational excellence. |
