Campaign StatementBy Ruth SanchezCandidate for Board Member; Irvine Unified School District; 4 Year Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
The truth is I am passionate about what I do. Irvine needs and wants passionate leaders to get the job done. My husband Stephen, and I, with our children Meghan, Nathaniel, Timothee and Veronica, have lived and attend church in Irvine since 1994. Our experience in this great district has given me two years as PTASG President at Los Naranjos Preschool, and eight years serving as Chairperson and Committee member in various positions at Alderwood Basics Plus. Also, serving as a Board Member for the Yale Association since July, 2001. At UCI Child Development Center our family has done extensive volunteer work for children with special needs. Honors include: Congressional Gold Medal Award 1986; Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee; Who's Who Among Students in North American Junior Colleges; LBCC Viking Award; LBCC Woman of the Year Nominee. We need to make up for what the government has taken away. We will build working relationships with Irvine Teachers, Parents, and Students. I support the parcel tax. I will fight for equitable funding. You can't have more fun than serving your public. These are our children, our future, and our responsibility. I humbly ask for your vote and the privilege to serve you. |
