Michael is a true resident of our City. Mike is a fourth generation Californian whose grandfather was born on a farm near Fifth Street and Harbor Boulevard.

Mike is a graduate of UC Irvine with a Bachelors Degree and Cal State University Fullerton where he earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Mike Garcia started his professional career in the City of Santa Ana's Economic Development and Personnel Departments. Mike met and proposed to his wife, Rosa, while both were working in City Hall.

For the last four years, he has been working at Rosenow Spevacek Group, providing real estate, economic development and redevelopment services to numerous California cities. Mike's expertise will be a valuable addition to the professional make-up of the Santa Ana City Council.

Mike is running for Mayor Pro Tem Pat McGuigan's seat in Ward 6, which will be open due to term limits.

Mike pledges to provide residents and businesses the same type of principled and practical leadership that Mayor Pro Tem McGuigan and the Council have worked hard to establish.
