|
For the past four years, Brian J. Brady, P.E. has been privileged to serve as an Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) Director, and is currently the elected Board President. He chairs the district's engineering committee. Last year, he was selected as representative to Orange County Sanitation District's Board of Directors as well, where he serves on the executive steering committee. Brian has over 30 years of experience in both public and private sectors of water and electric utilities. His career has included key management positions with Southern California Edison Company and the City of Anaheim. Prior to establishing his own consulting practice (Brian J. Brady & Associates) three years ago, he served as Chairman and CEO of a NASDAQ listed investor-owned company consisting of several water utilities throughout California. His current work specializes in the assessment of water utility operational management and the valuation of utility assets, including water rights. A registered Civil Engineer in California, Brian is a graduate of Loyola University's School of Engineering (BSE degree, emphasis in Water Resource Management) and the University of Southern California (USC)'s Marshall School of Business (MBA degree, emphasis in Finance). His current doctoral research (toward an Ed.D degree, emphasis in Organizational Leadership) at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology probes skills employed by elected directors. Brian comes from a family of ten brothers and sisters. His parents, five of his siblings with their own families, and his mother-in-law have all been Irvine residents for years; some for over two decades. Brian, his wife Carolee and their daughter, Rachel, have lived in Irvine since 1995 and in Lake Forest for five years before that. Matthew and Elizabeth (their two adult children) both have careers that have taken them out of state. Matt is in the Air Force and is stationed in Tucson; and Liz works in Boston, but both remain in close contact with Brian, Carolee and Rachel as well as the rest of their extended family. |
