Candidate for
Councilmember; City of Soledad

The Soledad City Council needs a fresh voice and a new perspective to advocate for families, children and neighborhoods in this great city. I have established a record of enthusiasm, energy, accessibility and willingness to work directly with people in our neighborhoods. As a member of many boards and committees, I have had the honor to work with many people, many of those with young families. We need to put our families first and get what we need in the City of Soledad.

When I chose my major at UC, Santa Cruz, I thought about my great affinity and compassion for people. That is why I earned my BA degree in Sociology. In appreciating all different types of people, I also decided that I loved helping families and children. So, I decided to pursue an education in nursing to become a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Working for Natividad Medical Center, the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Soledad Chamber of Commerce, and the VA Hospital has taught me to become a great leader. Being active on many volunteer seats such as the Soledad YMCA Board of Managers and the Soledad Fiesta Days Committee, I have been able to use this leadership to assist in making them successful. One thing that makes me shine is that I feel so rewarded for being a part of Soledad and this community. I'd like to be a bigger part of shaping this great community!!
