About Russ...

I have resided in California City continously since 1970. Retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years and NASA Civil Service after 18 years. I was also employed for nine years with Lockheed Martin as a Senior Quality and Safety Engineer for the Space Shuttle Recovery Team. I possess an Associates Degree in Business Management and have earned credit hours towards a Bachelors Degree. For the last two years I have served as Vice Mayor of California City and Vice Chairman of the California City Redevelopment Agency. I am serving on the Board of Directors Kern Economic Development Corporation representing East Kern. Also, serves as a Board of Director for the Civilian Military Support Group. Member of the Kern County Association of Cities and the League of Cities Desert Mountain Division. I am a charter member of the American Legion post #476 and a member of American Association of Retired Persons, American Society of Quality Control, and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
