Candidate for
Supervisor; County of Kern; Supervisorial District 4

I am a conservative, Republican, Christian who has lived in the 4th district since 1965 when my family moved to Rosedale. I attended local schools: BHS, BC, and CSUB where I majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Agri-Business.

CAREER:
I spent 20 years in agriculture with much of that time as superintendent for a group of large farms in the Buttonwillow area where I still live today. In the '90s I decided on a career change and now run my own business as a General Contractor specializing in commercial remodels.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:
I have served on many boards and committees including:

Buttonwillow Lions Club (past president)
Buttonwillow Chamber of Commerce
Buttonwillow Community 4H (past community leader)
Kern County Farm Bureau
PM-10 Air Pollution Committee
Water Well Ordinance Committee

I have worked to improve the quality of our air and water without over regulating business. I also fought to keep LA from taking our water and helped write a water well ordinance that protects our aquifers and keeps our farmers in business. These are ongoing battles that need our attention.
