Vote - Roxanne Wiedemann Lindsay - Incumbent Director, SRV Fire Board

By Roxanne Wiedemann Lindsay

Candidate for Director; San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District

This information is provided by the candidate
Following is a statement of my qualifications for the governing board and vision for the future of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District Board
As a member of the Board since 1997, I completed Leadership San Ramon Valley, and participated in numerous management, governing, legal and financial workshops for elected officials of Special Districts throughout California. My experience as a member of Assemblywoman Lynne Leach's staff and other legislators, has given me an excellent understanding of how state government affects local government. It is important for me to (1) be available locally as a liaison between the public and the fire district staff, and (2) to keep personal channels of communication open with firefighters, support staff and management. The San Ramon Valley will benefit from my involvement with Contra Costa Special Districts and as an officer in county fire organizations. As a lifelong resident of San Ramon, I continue a family history of involvement with our fire district. This reinforces my efforts to maintain the outstanding level of service we enjoy by ensuring leadership development, financial soundness and continuous long-range planning to adequately meet growing district needs and to uphold the standards that are expected by the taxpayer. San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District is one of the finest in California. As a Director, I will strive to oversee the policies that create that level of excellence and I will honor your confidence.
