To establish better communication between the community, students, faculty, staff, administration and the Board. To provide a greater focus on students and their needs rather than on administrative centralization. To ensure fiscal integrity without jeopardizing basic programs in the face of anticipated budget cuts. To emphasize the necessity of "shared governance" betwen faculty and administration as required by the Education Code. To make sure that staff concerns are presented and carefully considered by the administration.
