Greg Enholm - Candidate Statement - Sent with Sample Ballots

By Greg Enholm

Candidate for Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

This information is provided by the candidate
This statement summarizes Greg Enholm's background, his reasons for running, and what he proposes to do in office.
I ask you to vote for me because I believe I can help the other ARPD board members and staff to provide you and the rest of the community with better recreation services. I am a homeowner and have lived in Bay Point since 1996.

I am now a high school math teacher after a 20-year career in financial analysis. My strengths are being able to understand and work with numbers and explain those numbers to others so they can understand also.

ARPD is already focusing on providing more programs for youth including soccer, baseball, football, and other sports. There is a need to expand the soccer fields and ball fields. My financial experience would be useful in finding the money to expand at the lowest cost.

ARPD also needs to expand its evening programs especially at the Ambrose Community Center on Willow Pass Road including the new computer lab. As a teacher, I want to see more educational opportunities for both adults and youths in Bay Point.

I would also want to increase the cooperation with the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council. I have produced a television program for the ATT Broadband Cable Services Channel 26 which includes excerpts from MAC meetings.
