CRIME

By Bob Davis

Candidate for Member; California State Assembly; District 56; Democratic Party

This information is provided by the candidate
Appeals for condemned criminals submitted within one year of conviction and to federal court within one year after state decision
I supported the federal crime bill, federal funds for police officers, truth in sentencing and the three-strikes law. I advocated deporting criminal aliens. I proposed that all appeals by condemned criminals be done at one time with a one year time limit for filing. Appeals to the federal court, after the State appeals have been exhausted, would also have a one year time limit. I, also, campaigned for the confinement of sexual predators as a danger to society after they have completd their prison sentence.

When elected, I shall introduce legislation with substantial penalties to protect us from criminals and terrorists who use fake and stolen identities to victimize law abiding people. It will require lenders to use due dilligence to identify those they lend money to and relieve victims of identity theft of any responsibility for the unauthorized use of their good name.
