Political Philosophy for David W. Tiffany

A judge has responsibilty to conduct herself/himself in such a way both on and off the bench to bring respect to the office. I value my community service and will continue to do so if elected. Furthermore, I intend to get involved with programs that address the social issues of drug abuse and domestic violence as these issues tear at the fabric of our society and represent a huge percentage of the legal disputes that end up in our courts. A judge has the responsibilty to interpret the law consistent with the intent of the legislature. Judges do not make law they interpret the law. A judge should always be respectful to the people appearing in his/her court. A judge should strive to be fair and make decisions that reflect equal justice for everyone regardless of race/creed/sex or national origin. |
