Political Philosophy for John De Beck
Candidate for |
John de Beck is a strong supporter of critical planning in Government, where an open dialogue involving all stakeholders is paramount. Understanding that decisions must be made to create improvements, John supports reforms that are driven by carefully designed evaluation models and tested before universal adoption. John believes workers involved on the front lines need to be part of the decision to change processes. So, the first change activity would be to teach them new ways to do the work, and to get their understanding of the value of change. Unless the people that do the work buy into the changes, the results can be disasterous. In all politics, and more so in public schools, there is a major need to NOT disinfranchise the public. There should be evidence that public concerns resulted in change or were answered adequately. Boards need to ask hard questions for their constituents so these voters feel they are fairly represented! |
