Political Philosophy for Daniel M. "Dan" Beeman
Candidate for |
Mr. Beeman has always worked to be the voice of the abused and disadvantage citizen. Dan works hard at letting the leaders understand problems, while always trying to lend a solution. He believes in citizen/student participation. Via his first political endeavors at Wichita State University as a Student Representative and Student teacher he has alway seeked to help and inform students and the student body. Mr. Beeman continued this effort by being a night time student representative at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) where he helped to extend student services and lounge operations into the evening while night students were on campus. In his work with the student council he met the Mayor of Milwaukee. Mr. Beeman continued his concern for letting the voice of the community be heard as he has constantly gone before the San Diego City Council to express needed improvements or dislike for the consideration of projects, policies, or tax increases. As a working student Dan knows about financial and time constrants. He has promoted that boards and council consider these constrants when ever they vote. And he will again when he is elected this time! One thing Mr. Beeman would really like see is Solar Lights. First in the new developments, more skylights/better natural light usage. Then move to having parking lot lights solarized. Then campus outside lighting. We could develope solar panels over the parking lots to give shade and produce electricity. |
