Today there are those who would attack the liberties we in the U.S.A. hold dear. We should all participate in our democracy.In these times when terrorists would attack the liberties that have been won by past generations in this country, it is very important that we exercise our freedom to vote. Many of us have shown our patriotism recently by the display of the flag and other patriotic symbols. Who among us has not had a lump in his throat when we have heard "God Bless America" played and sung at the many athletic events recently? Have you noticed people just being kinder to each other also? I have. The tragedy that befell this country on September 11th served to fan the flames of patriotism even as the WTC smoldered. Now we have an opportunity to show our patriotism in yet another way. We can exercise the freedom to select the candidate of our choice and freely cast our vote. However you make your choice, no matter who you choose, show your fellow Americans as well as the cowardly terrorists, that we will not be denied this liberty. Vote! |
