Re-Elect Jenny Pansing
Endorsed by the Tri-County Press The following is the endorsement statement from the Tri-County Press. Princeton Board moving in right direction Not too long ago the personalities clashing at school board meetings in Princeton were making more news than what was happening in the district's classrooms. When current board President Jenny Pansing ran for school board four years ago it was her goal to change that and add a team-like atmosphere to the board of education. Board member Mark Lemen wanted to work behind the scenes to bring together the board as well. Today, the school board is enjoying a period of cohesiveness and working toward future goals. Tha's why we endorse the re-election of Pansing and Lemen to the Princeton City School District Board of Education. The third candidate for the two seats is Robert Rolfes. We encourage him to stay active in the school system and remain one of its best cheerleaders. He has some good ideas that the board may want to hear. There is no reason to change the status quo right now. Princeton is increasing its test scores. The board and committees are coming up with a district plan for facilities, which need to be addressed. Soon the board will be searching for a new superintendent. They are working with Don Darby, who intends to move on when a replacement for the departed Dennis Peterson is found. With all this change, it would be smart to keep a board that is working well together intact. We endorse incumbents Pansing and Lemen. Vote for them on Nov. 6. |
