I am interested in seeing the combined sanitary and storm sewers eliminated from the village.
During the flooding in July these type of sewers had a negative impact on the flooding, especially since the sewer line comes through another community and increases tremendously the volume of water, whcih adds to increased flooding. As important as the volume of water is, the increased health risk presented by this type of sewer to the residents is very important. When the water reaches a certain level the sewer pipe puts raw sewage into the creek and the flooding backs up the sewage and spreads into many homes. This is almostunthinkable in this day and age! MSD is working on plans to elliminate these type of sewers and we can't have them replaced soon enough!
