Listening to the Community

Whenever a decision needs to be made it is important for the board to listen to the community.

I am running on the major topic of communication. It is obvious that the district has lacked in the recent past on this issue. When the district set up the Open Enrollment and Boundary Study Committee the district did not notify the public at large, they notified the schools and the districts, but not the public. The committee was then made and the public had no idea it was going on unless you took the time out of your busy schedule to attend the board meetings. The only reason I knew what was happening is because I am on the Foster City Education Committee. If I wasn't I probally would have gone about my life not knowing.

As I stated before the communication needs to be changed. If you elect me to this board I will make sure the public is heard and the public knows what is going on. I will set up an e-mail address just for community concerns, and comments. I will also take the time to respond to all e-mails , bad or good. This is the way I will respond and serve my constituents on the board. And even before if you have a concern please feel free to e-mail me at the address on the previous page.
