I am running for the Sunnyvale City Council because our City needs leaders who will listen to you and work hard to maintain and improve our community's character. As a resident of Sunnyvale for over 20 years, I have served our community in a number of ways. As a Councilmember I will work to form a consensus on important issues and ensure your voice in the process.

I have worked hard to earn the respect of Sunnyvale citizens, the educational community, and our businesses: Sunnyvale Planning Commission (5 years) including Commissioner, Vice-Chair, and Chair; Sunnyvale School District: Citizens Measure A Committee, Education Mini-Grant Committee, Excess School Sites Committee, and School District Housing Committee; Leadership Sunnyvale: Graduate and Member of the Board of Directors; Chamber of Commerce: Board of Directors; Sunnyvale Community Services: Mr. Professor and volunteer; City of Sunnyvale: Land Use and Transportation Element Revision Committee, Housing Sub Element Revision Committee.

Graduate of The University of Santa Clara: Bachelor of Science. Sunnyvale small business owner.

I am committed to:

  • Maintaining a low crime environment so that everyone feels safe in collaboration with the community and Public Safety.
  • Provide safe streets, parks, neighborhoods, and schools.
  • Protect and enhance the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
  • Build a support system to help create a more inclusive community.
  • Support high quality education for residents.
  • Promote a healthy environment.
  • Encourage a healthy economy by supporting high technology, retail, and commercial businesses.
  • Promote efficient and safe transportation systems.

As a Planning Commissioner, I was instrumental in Transportation Demand Management Programs. It is part of my vision that the City of Sunnyvale will take the lead in developing additional activities, using these programs as a role model of successful activities: the Farmers Market, the Summer Music Series, the Art & Wine Festival, the teen Fish Bowl, the Fremont Pool, and other project/programs which build a good community.

It is my hope that you share my commitment and vision for a better Sunnyvale. Please join me in realizing these goals by casting your vote for me on November 6th. Thank you!
