Preparing Students for Higher Education will be my top priority. Our children deserve our utmost support and commitment in their quest to be successful citizens. Today's workforce demands college-educated individuals and it is our duty to ensure that the students of the Pomona Unified School District are prepared for higher education. All children can learn and succeed but they must have equal access to a high-quality education program that challenges them to succeed. Every student must be prepared for work and/or higher education immediately after graduation, and must be provided with the skills to be a lifelong learner and an effective, contributing member of society.

Improving our Schools and Providing After School Programs will provide our youth with a healthy and safe environment, one that will foster learning and personal growth. However, our schools need repairs so that students have a safe learning environment. Additionally, our youth are in great need of academic, social and emotional support. After school programs can provide this support as well as essential alternatives to negative influences that children face today.

Building Collaborations/Partnerships with the Community are essential. As a community we must uplift our children, lead by example, to empower and motivate them. WE must be a community in every sense of the word and if we do this we will see our students succeed.
