Good City Government Is No Accident

City government is not a place for partisan politics. I believe you expect your city to be run in a professional, business-like manner. As such, I look at our function as council members in a way that facilitates solving problems, heading off problems and running the city in a responsive manner.

Since being elected to council, I have pursued this philosophy. Our city staff is excellent, but we always believe we can improve, so we instituted a "customer response card" program that has given us valuable feedback on how we're doing.

Our budgets have been prudent and implemented to address our priorities. Law enforcement is our biggest single expense but the results are there; our crime rate is negligible.

Your city government has been free of the acrimony found in some other communities. It is my intention to keep our council meetings a place where the business of the city is conducted in a manner that is a credit to the citizens of our city.
