Experience coupled with a passion for education makes a difference.Views of Specific Issues: Acknowledge a strong public education system to be the cornerstone of our democratic society. Base our children's education on the foundation skills of Reading, Grammar, Mathematics and the Sciences. Emphasize the Liberal Arts: Music, Arts and the Humanities. Recognize that education is a learning process facilitated by teachers, aided by parents and the community. Consider the great variety in children's learning abilities and modalities to ensure academic achievement for all our youth. Continue to reduce class size since students simply learn better in smaller classrooms. Appreciate and support the professionalism and dedication of our teachers. Recognize athletics as important to student fitness and morale, and as an incentive to maintaining academic performance.
