So Montebello Water District Guiding Principles

Your vote for my reelection on November 6 is a vote to continue to improve the quality of water and service to you and to keep the water district for the benefit of the people and businesses of So Montebello.

For over a decade, the working philosophy at South Montebello Irrigation District has been to provide the highest quality water possible at the lowest possible price. To that end I have worked to upgrade our existing water wells and replace our tanks and infrastructure with modern equipment. Staff and crew members maintailn both water distribution and water treatment operator licenses. The state-of-the art telemetry system monitors water quality, pressure, flow rates, tank levels, security and equipment status 24 hours per day and 365 days per year. Two new wells have been added to improve capacity and fire flow capabilities.

The staff is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and holding responsible positions in water related organizations that compliment our water company.

The district has come a long way toward the goals set forth when I first began to serve you on the board. Our current plans call for more improvements to the infrastructure, security enhancements, a more cost efficient booster-station and continued attention to water quality issues such as color in the water.

I believe all the people in So Montebello should participate in making our neighborhood a better place to live. I remain didicated to maintaining the non-profit, independent status that currently defines So Montebello Irrigation District and to continuing a progressive, cost effective approach toward improving and maintaining our water company.
